A well-established manufacturing firm in South Lanarkshire is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs. This role involves working on electrical fault finding, particularly on PLC systems, as well as providing support to engineering teams. The ideal candidate will have completed a time served apprenticeship and have experience in the manufacturing sector. My client are currently looking to recruit an experienced electrical maintenance engineer to join their site in South Lanarkshire (commutable from Glasgow, Paisley, East Kilbride, Cumbernauld, Livingston & surrounding areas).

This maintenance engineer role is based on a rotating shift pattern (early, back, night) - 06:00 - 14:00, 14:00 - 22:00 & 22:00 - 06:00.

The company is well established with nearly 100 years of manufacturing experience. The organisation offers job security alongside the opportunity for development and progression.

Maintenance Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdowns
  • Electrical fault finding
  • Fault finding on PLC systems
  • General electrical / mechanical maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities
  • Working closely with the process engineering and quality engineering teams
  • Supporting colleagues with project work
