Overview

Maintenance Engineer - Poole, Dorset

Salary: £48,000 - £50,000 + Bonus

Working hours: Monday - Friday with overtime available; 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week

Role & Responsibilities
  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
  • Execute the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use appropriate root cause analysis tools and 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production environments
