Qualifications

  • Must have a formal engineering qualification.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in engineering, manufacturing or production settings.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to machine breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Execute preventative and reactive maintenance plans.
  • Utilize root cause analysis tools and 5S methodology.
  • Support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Conduct routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Record maintenance tasks accurately in an electronic system.

Skills

Continuous improvement knowledge
Strong knowledge of good engineering standards

Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained

Monday - Friday + Plenty of overtime, 1 weekend in 4 with time off in the week

Role & Responsibilities
  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
  • Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
