A reputable engineering firm is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Berkshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for improving and maintaining manufacturing machinery, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety standards, and documenting maintenance activities. Applicants should have an engineering qualification and relevant experience, particularly in electrical or mechanical environments. This permanent role offers a competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Engineering discipline (Electrical or Mechanical).
  • Experience with plant equipment/machinery or electrical cabinets.
  • Ability to work safely and methodically.

Overview

JOB - Maintenance Engineer

LOCATION - Berkshire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £35,000 - £40,000, dependent on experience

Responsibilities
  • Working in a team to improve and maintain manufacturing machinery
  • Being proactive in ensuring the smooth running of all equipment
  • PPM and breakdown avoidance
  • Ensuring documentation is maintained and Health & Safety standards are met
  • Ensuring efficiency and a high standard of work is met throughout the site
  • Working with others and being an excellent team player
Qualifications
  • Time Served Apprenticeship / NVQ / HNC / HND / BTEC / Degree qualified or similar in an Engineering discipline
  • Come from an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering background
  • Knowledge of Electrical equipment and installations
  • Ideally be experienced working with plant equipment / machinery / electrical cabinets
  • Able to work safely and methodically
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team
  • A flexible and proactive attitude towards work
