Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Maintenance Engineer in Stansted to organize maintenance activities and supervise team performance. Qualifications

  • Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition electrical regulations - desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of PLC-controlled equipment.
  • Full driving licence.

Overview

Maintenance Engineer – Stansted

Salary: £51,000 per annum (plus overtime) - Negotiable

Details

Location: Stansted

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 4-week rotating shift pattern averaging 42 hours per week

Days: 06:30-18:30

Nights: 18:30-06:30

Includes 2 full weekends on and 2 full weekends off (4 on/5 off, then 5 on/4 off)

Responsibilities
  • Organise team maintenance activities and equipment to ensure safe and efficient machinery operations.
  • Supervise and monitor team performance, attendance, and workflow, taking corrective action where needed.
  • Liaise effectively with Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders, and the Control Room to resolve issues quickly.
  • Ensure health and safety protocols are followed and equipment is properly stored, maintained, and reported if defective.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Adhere to operational and maintenance procedures to maintain high customer service standards.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, organised, and hold a City & Guilds Electrical/Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Knowledge of 16th or 17th Edition electrical regulations - Desirable but not essential
