Job summary

A leading manufacturer in Norwich is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team. You will minimize downtime during machine breakdowns and carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance. The ideal candidate has formal qualifications such as C&G Level 3 or NVQ Level 3 and experience in production environments. This role offers a salary of £50,000 - £52,000 along with a comprehensive benefits package including 25 days holiday, health care, and a pension scheme.

Qualifications

  • Formal Engineering Qualification required.

Responsibilities

  • Minimise downtime during machine breakdowns actively.
  • Work preventatively and reactively following a plan.
  • Utilise root cause analysis tools and 5S.
  • Support a culture of Continuous Improvement.
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Record maintenance tasks on an electronic system.

Our client is a leading manufacturer that is dedicated to producing products whose quality is recognised as second to none. With a strong order book and due to growth into various export markets they are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Engineering team.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Respond to machine breakdowns with a view to minimising downtime and improving long term machine reliability
  • Execution of the Lead/Senior Maintenance Engineer's plan to work preventatively in addition to reactively
  • Use of appropriate root cause analysis tools & 5S
  • Actively support a culture of Continuous Improvement, looking at ways to engineer out persistent problems
  • Carry out routine Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • Accurately record all maintenance tasks performed on an electronic reporting system
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Formal Engineering Qualification - C&G Level 3, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship trained
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of good engineering standards
  • Experience in Engineering, manufacturing or production environments
