Job description
Maintenance Fitter

35k, Knaresborough

Excellent opportunity for a skilled engineering fitter to join a growing manufacturer in the Knaresborough area. The role will include the planned and preventative maintenance of production equipment and facilities maintenance. This is a stand alone role and would suit a candidate with confident mechanical fault finding and skills.

The job
  • Ensure manufacturing equipment is available and maintained to the correct standard.
  • Ensure all facility requirements are met and maintained, i.e. legionella, COSHH.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues, and repair equipment to ensure day to day manufacturing issues are resolved and actioned in a timely manner.
  • Analyse daily equipment metrics and use data driven decisions to improve processes and generate reports to document.
  • Implementation, development and delivery of a Scheduled Planned Preventative Maintenance.
  • Development and implementation of adequate Contactor Control of Works (CCoW) and Safe Systems of Work (SSW).
  • Reporting on maintenance spend and stock ensuring business critical spare parts are identified and available at all times.
SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Confident Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of control systems.
  • Hands on experience of manufacturing equipment reactive and PPM and troubleshooting issues within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
