Job summary

A manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Hitchin, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks, including planned preventative maintenance and mechanical/electrical breakdown cover. Candidates should have a recognized engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification along with the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings. This role offers the opportunity to work within a long-established manufacturing environment.

• Ability to perform both electrical and mechanical work.
• Understanding of PLCs and robots.

Job description

A long established manufacturer are currently looking to strengthen their Maintenance department with the appointment of a Maintenance Engineer.

As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance work in line with the schedule and processes.

Working from their manufacturing facility in Darlaston, the Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for :

• Planned preventative maintenance
• Mechanical / electrical breakdown cover for all activities on site
• Ability to read and understand both electrical and mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of PLC's
• Knowledge of Robots

The successful candidate should have served a recognised engineering apprenticeship or similar appropriate qualification.
