Overview

The Maintenance Engineer vacancy is working with a leading manufacturing company based in the Eggborough area, near Goole. The position offers excellent opportunities for both training and career development.

Location: Nr Eggborough, (Commutable from Goole, Thorne, Snaith, Knottingley, East, West and South Yorkshire)

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer
  • Providing plant-wide maintenance service, departmental support and repairs ensuring that all production targets are maintained - maintaining factory manufacturing machinery
  • Monitor & supply engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible.
  • Keeping and implementing plant wide PPM structures ensuring H&S, quality assurance as well as liaising with Engineering Stores
  • Working within a small Team and along side contractors to diagnose breakdowns and Mechanical Faults across the Plant
Experience and Qualifications Required for Maintenance Engineer
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship & Qualification or equivalent, e.g.NVQ, City and Guilds, ONC, BTEC or HNC and HND - Mechanical
  • Time served Mechanical Engineer or Fitter
  • Ability to fault find, repair and provide solutions to problems
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
