Vickerstock are partnering with a leading manufacturing firm in the Antrim area to recruit a Maintenance Engineer. Our client produces a diverse portfolio of products for the building, commercial and industrial sectors, alongside a specialist line for domestic customers. From humble beginnings as a local workshop, they\'re now a recognised name in Construction and Manufacturing.

Responsibilities
  • Champion health & safety, quality and housekeeping standards, reporting any deviations without delay.
  • Plan and deliver preventative maintenance, recording planned tasks and reactive repairs; author detailed PM procedures and maintain a critical spares register.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical faults on production equipment, evaluating root causes and implementing durable solutions.
  • Perform systematic root-cause analysis and embed improvements to boost reliability and efficiency.
  • Keep all electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics and documentation up to date. Coordinate the sourcing, installation and commissioning of new plant and machinery in liaison with the Projects Department.
  • Collaborate with Production and Maintenance colleagues to prioritise and resolve breakdowns, ensuring rapid, cost-effective repair.
  • Use CMMS and data-analysis tools to identify trends, drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimise asset performance.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Trade qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (essential).
  • Minimum of five years\' multi-skilled maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in PLC fault diagnosis and configuration, plus hands-on mechanical fitting, hydraulics or pneumatics.
