Job description

Jobstore are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with a Mechanical bias to join our clients leading manufacturing operation based in Bury.

The right candidate will be responsible for the ongoing upkeep of equipment and machinery to ensure the continuous running of high volume production lines in an industrial setting. You will be involved in routine maintenance and organise repairs and will also be involved with control and monitoring of devices and occasionally in the manufacture of items that will help in maintenance.

With a strong Mechanical bias, your role is vital to the efficiency and progress of manufacturing and processing in this business. Working with other engineers on site, you will improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve the reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production.

We also require some experience with automation and robotics.

You will be able to carry out general maintenance work and respond to equipment faults, diagnose breakdown problems, fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly, whilst carrying out quality inspection on jobs, deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs.
