Maintenance Coordinator - Thurrock
The Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimising the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will collaborate with various teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role will include effective maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution to enhance operational efficiency, reduce downtime and improve asset reliability.
Role
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the CMMS.
- Ensure accurate data entry and management of maintenance records, work orders and asset register within the CMMS.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators to monitor maintenance performance and asset reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering and operations teams to identify and prioritise maintenance needs.
- Provide training and support to staff on use of the CMMS.
- Manage upgrades to the CMMS and assist in development of interfaces for contractors to utilise the CMMS.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management to communicate maintenance performance and performance of systems and equipment.
- Liaise with IT to ensure appropriate vendor support in place for the CMMS, through documented contractual specification of clients' needs and contractor performance management.
- STOP work authority for any activity that is deemed unsafe.
- Monitor and update CMMS data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate and distribute work orders, tracking their progress and completion.
- Assist in the development of preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Conduct regular audits of maintenance processes and CMMS data integrity.
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support for CMMS related issues.
- Facilitate meetings with stakeholders to discuss maintenance planning and system enhancements.
- Any other tasks that may arise in the day-to-day functionality of this position.
- Provide assistance to Terminal emergency response as detailed in the emergency plan.
- Ensure the UK policy and procedure on site security is adhered to.
- Provide input as required to various audits carried out on the terminal.
- Participate in safety audits and safety observation rounds.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in maintenance coordination or management within O&G terminals.
- Proficiency in CMMS software; experience with specific systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Agility, PEMAC).
- Understanding of maintenance processes, asset management, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in data analysis and KPI reporting to drive decision-making and improvements.
£45-£55k per annum DOE.
