Job summary

A leading engineering firm in the United Kingdom is looking for skilled Mechanical Fitter Welders to join their team. You will work on fabrication from engineering drawings, welding various materials mainly using MIG, and conducting mechanical fitting work on machinery. Job description

Fulcrum Engineering & Technical are acting as a Employment Business on behalf of our Clients. We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar Welding Fabrication roles depending on applicants skill sets & experience. Mechanical Fitter Welder Fabs & Fabricator Welders working on the fabrication from engineering drawings & welding angle, box, tube to high spec finish. Welders MIG mainly working mainly on welding sheet metal or mild steel, ali, mild steel angle, box, tube with MIG. Also some mechanical fitting work on mechanical & hydraulic systems on machinery/plant such as conveyors. We would also consider semi skilled applicants can apply if they can cover most of the work depending on their skill set.

Working mainly in the Fab Shop plus some site work as required in a team, working on the install of machinery/plant. This could be for local sites or UK wide working week days & weekends. Travel Time, Hotel & Meals covered by Company plus a lot of extra hours paid as overtime.

Quals/Skills = Able to fabricate & weld with MIG mainly, or weld with some MMA and some TIG. Ideally C & G or NVQ Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork. Ideally - Use Tube Bending Machine & Press Brake & other Work Shop Machinery & Tools.

Hours = 0700 – 1530 + O/T after 38 hours Mon to Fri pos work when busy 0700 – 1700 as required Also 0600 or 0700 to 1330 Sat as required. Term = Temp 6 – 13 weeks with good chance of perm role. Pay = Depending on Quals, Skills, Experience levels. Temp/Contract = £18 - £22 per hr basic & £23 to £26 per hr O/T via pay company basis. Perm PAYE - £16.00 to £17 + per hr basic with overtime rates over 38 hours x 1.33 & Sat 1.5.
