Overview

With over 50 years experience in designing and manufacturing cutting edge matting and strapping solutions, Plastic Extruders Ltd is a three generation, family run business based in Essex. We work closely with our clients and distributors to create custom solutions that improve safety, health, comfort, and productivity across a wide range of industries. We know our products inside out; we even build the machines that make them and we take pride in the quality and innovation behind everything we do.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small but friendly production team. We are looking for a reliable and motivated individual to support the extrusion of our wide range of matting and strapping products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow the daily production plan, ensuring high standards of work aligned with quality systems and procedures
  • Produce high-quality products according to job card specifications, with attention to detail and presentation
  • Operate production lines at correct speeds to ensure efficiency and output targets are met
  • Optimise the use of reclaim and regrind materials while maintaining required product quality
  • Operate machinery safely and correctly to reduce waste and scrap
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including the use of PPE and machinery guarding
  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths minimum grade 4
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is an advantage but not essential as full training will be given
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well as part of a small team
  • Willingness to learn and follow procedures closely
  • Commitment to safety and quality standards
