gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Metal Polisher / Finisher to work at their facility based near Hatfield / Welwyn Garden City.

Performance Objectives

• Responsible for ensuring specific polishing trimming operations are carried out
• Fully competent in grinding, drilling, punching and using band saws.
• Experience in using measuring equipment such as Vernier callipers / protractors & Micrometers.
• Ensure that work is conducted in a safe environment according to safe practices - report deviation from H&S good practice immediately.

Person Specification

• Some basic self-inspection required
• Health & Safety Training.
• Knowledge of polishing lathes and various polishing equipment;
• Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements relating to polishing and spraying machines
• Experience in a Metal Polishing / Trimming working environment
