Overview

Job Title: Machine Operator

Location: Ashford, Kent

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm

Role Summary

You will be responsible for setting up, operating and monitoring production machinery to ensure the efficient manufacture of products. You will play a key role in maintaining quality, consistency and safety standards while supporting the smooth running of the production process.

Responsibilities
  • Operate production machinery to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Ensure the site is audit ready at all times.
  • Ensure thorough cleaning of machinery to avoid contamination.
  • Follow production schedules and meet targets for output and efficiency.
  • Pack finished product in accordance with customer specification.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines including correct handling of materials and use of protective equipment.
  • Report any incidents or issues immediately.
  • Carry out machine start-up, changeover and shutdown procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on finished products.
  • Identify defects and non-conformance's.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery.
  • Maintain safety protocols and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Accurately complete production paperwork and records.
Experience and skills
  • Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a FMCG environment.
  • Ability to operate production equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to different tasks as required.
