The Role

As an M&E Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing cost management, valuations, procurement, and financial reporting across projects, ensuring commercial efficiency and compliance. Working closely with operational teams, you will provide strong commercial support to drive value and profitability across multiple contracts. Specifically, these contracts will be reactive and planned works to domestic gas boilers, plumbing works, air cource heat pumps and solar PV.

Responsibilities
  • Managing costs and budgets on M&E and general build projects.
  • Preparing valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Supporting procurement and subcontractor negotiations.
  • Providing accurate reporting and cost control.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
About You

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven background in M&E projects. You will bring strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage costs effectively across a diverse workload.

Essential criteria
  • Proven Quantity Surveying experience, with an M&E focus.
  • Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management.
  • Ability to price general build projects.
  • Strong cost control, reporting, and commercial awareness.
  • Proficient in measurement software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable experience
  • Working with local authorities, housing associations, or public sector clients
