Project Manager

Ideal Location: London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Kent
Base: Crawley (West Sussex) & Remote Working
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 + bonus

The Company V7 Recruitment are working exclusively with a leading specialist contractor within the smoke ventilation and fire safety sector who are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team.

The Role

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the delivery of multiple smoke ventilation projects from inception through to completion. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards.

You will work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams, demonstrating strong organisational and communication skills throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and co-ordinate the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Take ownership of cost control, including monthly forecasts and margin delivery.
  • Review and manage all project documentation at order stage.
  • Maintain electronic filing systems for all project records.
  • Set project timelines and monitor key deliverables.
  • Oversee health & safety compliance, including CDM regulations, RAMS, COSHH and toolbox talks.
  • Conduct site safety and quality audits with engineers and subcontractors.
  • Plan and allocate onsite resource (direct and indirect).
  • Build strong client relationships through regular site visits and progress updates.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
  • Support and coach project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualification in a construction-related discipline or Project Management certification.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of Project Management experience.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical understanding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules and multiple deliverables.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Confident IT skills, including proficiency with MS Office and project management systems.
