Job summary

A leading technology solutions company is seeking a Low Latency Network Engineer in London to design and maintain microwave and RF network links. You'll collaborate with teams to enhance latency efficiency and perform crucial analysis and optimizations. Ideal candidates will have significant hands-on experience in microwave networking and low-latency environments, with knowledge in Linux networking and packet analysis tools.

Qualifications

Job Description:

What You'll Do

  • Design, deploy, and maintain microwave and RF-based point-to-point network links
  • Collaborate with trading infrastructure and site teams to reduce latency between data centers
  • Perform link budget analysis, antenna alignment, and RF signal optimization
  • Work closely with vendors on site selection, regulatory approvals, and hardware integration
  • Tune, monitor, and troubleshoot RF links to maximize uptime and latency efficiency

What We're LookingFor

  • Hands-on experience with microwave networking, custom RF, or line-of-sight wireless deployments
  • Proven track record in low-latency environments HFT, telcos, or latency-sensitive networking
  • Deep knowledge of routing/switching, Linux networking, and packet-level analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump)
  • Familiarity with tools like Pathloss or spectrum planning tools is a plus

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to dark fiber, optical transport, or hybrid network design Experience working with vendors like Aviat, Ceragon, Ubiquiti, or custom RF providers
  • Background in financial market infrastructure or electronic trading networks
