    • Drive productivity through clear KPIs, regular performance reviews, and coaching.
    • Monitor and analyse operational data to optimise resource allocation and output.
    • Address performance gaps promptly and constructively.
  • Cost Management
    • Manage operational costs with a focus on labour efficiency and waste reduction.
    • Analyse cost-to-serve data and identify areas for improvement.
    • Proactively support budget management and forecasting activities.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of warehouse operatives and support staff.
    • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture focused on accountability and results.
    • Identify training needs and support individual growth plans.
  • Planning & Coordination
    • Plan and allocate labour based on volume forecasts and operational priorities.
    • Liaise with transport, inventory, and customer service teams to ensure seamless flow of goods.
    • Manage shift planning, holiday cover, and resource availability.
  • Customer Focus & Communication
    • Maintain a strong customer service mindset with an understanding of retail demands.
    • Act as a key communication bridge between floor operations and senior leadership.
    • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations are consistently met.
  • Continuous Improvement (CI) & Innovation
    • Lead or participate in CI initiatives focused on lean processes, productivity, and quality.
    • Encourage feedback and innovation from team members to drive positive change.
    • Challenge established practices where improvements can be made.
Capabilities, Skills and Experience Required

  • Analytical and data-driven with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proactive, curious, and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for improvement, efficiency, and team engagement.
  • Flexible and resilient in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations in a retail context.
