We are looking for a Logistics and Planning Manager located in Fawley.

What You Will Do
  • Manage and coordinate resources (people, materials and equipment) in a safe and efficient manner to deliver finished products to meet customer requirements.
  • To apply safety standards and achieve Occupational Health and Environmental standards on site, and ensure adherence to the company's safety requirements for employees and third- party, as well as compliance with local and corporate standards policies.
  • To achieve customer, quality, and service targets, as well as cost efficiency results for site.
  • Daily reviews of plans for open incoming and outgoing orders and assessing impact on supply/demand balance.
  • Direct inventory control, warehousing, and transportation to ensure delivery performance meets corporate targets.
  • Establish and maintain communication with business and customer service contacts while fostering operational relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
  • Report performance through KPI dashboard.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team and company supply chain.
  • Set business performance and development goals and ensure high level of positive employee engagement within team
  • Part of the Emergency Duty Manager rota for the Management of Major Accident Hazards.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Previous experience in logistics, manufacturing, production planning or other areas of supply chain, including line manager experience
  • Experience with global transportation and working industry knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of export and import compliance trade
  • Good communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recognised qualification in logistics, planning or supply chain management
  • Previous experience in a lean manufacturing environment (such as Lean Six Sigma or 5S)
  • Strong change management and project management skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Knowledge of financial measurements of logistics
Certifications

List any industry or local specific certifications required for the job.

Physical Demands

This role requires working in a chemical manufacturing plant, and is based on the Fawley refinery.
