Job description

An experienced and strategic Logistics and Warehousing Manager is sought to lead operations at our Reading (NPI) facility. This role is vital in ensuring efficient goods receipt, inventory management, warehousing, shipping, import/ export, and facility operations that align with project mobilisation, delivery, and demobilisation activities.

Reporting directly to the VP Project Delivery, you will oversee all logistics functions, supplier relationships, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives to support scalable growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Shipping and Logistics
  • Manage global shipping logistics, liaising with carriers and preparing export documentation
  • Serve as the direct point of contact with shipping logistics companies, negotiating contracts and managing relationships.
  • Oversee internal shipping requests and coordinate customer shipments using Freshdesk
  • Ensure compliance with dangerous goods and customs regulations
  • Manage the sourcing and inventory of packaging and consumables needed for shipping, ensuring products are delivered in brand‑compliant and secure packaging.
Inventory and Asset Management
  • Utilise XYZ internal asset and inventory management systems that track and manage goods, inventory, and logistics operations. Working closely with NPI Director to evaluate future scale up ERP and inventory management systems that will grow with our customer base and global coverage.
  • Manage inventory levels, ensuring stock is maintained at optimal levels to meet business needs without overstocking. Coordinate finished goods input with Production
  • Oversee the management of returns and repairs, ensuring customer satisfaction and efficient handling of faulty products. Work directly with the Technical Support and Quality teams to receive sign off on return/faulty units.
  • Manage day‑to‑day facility operations, maintenance, and health and safety
  • Implement continuous improvement measures to optimise logistics and warehousing
System and Support
  • Provide hands‑on warehousing support
  • Pick and package items to ship
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within logistics and facilities operations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Involved in strategic cost evaluation analyses to determine the most efficient logistics operations for the company, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide hands‑on support in the warehouse, demonstrating a willingness to engage directly with production ops day to day.
  • Support cross‑team collaboration and provide staff training on processes and safety
Qualifications
  • 5+ years in logistics, warehouse, or supply chain management
  • Expertise in inventory control, ERP systems, and shipping procedures
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Knowledge of customs, export compliance, and dangerous goods handling
Desirable Skills and Experience
  • Experience with E‑Max ERP, Wrike, Salesforce
  • Background in technology or manufacturing sectors
  • Familiarity with project delivery or site mobilisation processes
