A leading UK retail company is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the logistics team. This role involves reporting and analysis while working directly with the operations and finance teams. Successful candidates will be part-qualified accountants with strong Excel skills and a passion for making a difference. The position offers hybrid working arrangements, extensive responsibilities, and an opportunity to contribute to strategic financial insights, with additional perks and discounts available to employees.
As part of the Logistics Finance team, you will play a key role in supporting Next's world‑class warehousing and logistics operations. This operation supports a worldwide online customer base, over 500 retail stores and a growing third‑party Total Platform client base.
This growing client list now includes Reiss, Victoria's Secret and Gap. It supports this third‑party Total Platform operation, where we need your help. This role, as a Finance Analyst, provides reporting, analysis and business partnering for our Total Platform logistics operation.
This role sits directly between the logistics operation and the wider finance team. The TP business spans various warehouses and all its complexities. To be successful, you will find yourself in the operations, seeing what happens, and using this knowledge to add real insight and understanding of the key cost drivers.
In the wider Finance team at the Elmsall site there are 25 colleagues in total, all supporting the finance and data needs of the operation. Once established in this role we will offer office and home hybrid working. Ideally we are looking for someone great at Excel, with excellent communication skills and passion and enthusiasm to develop within Next.
Next is a FTSE‑100 retail company employing over 35,000 people across the UK and Ireland. We are the UK's 2nd largest fashion retailer and the market leader in kidswear. We have over 500 stores, plus Next Online, and can now sell online from over 70 countries.
Conditions apply to all benefits. These benefits are discretionary and subject to change.
