A leading teaching hospital trust in the UK is seeking a Logistics/Transport team member to manage the delivery of goods across busy hospital services. The ideal candidate will possess strong logistics knowledge and effective communication skills to work within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include transporting equipment, maintaining paperwork accuracy, and liaising with staff to ensure smooth operation. This exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the forward-looking and enterprising Logistics/Transport team of Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust – working from Southport and Ormskirk Hospitals. You will be responsible for the delivery of goods to various locations of busy acute hospital service and for ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day Transport and Stores function. You will have an understanding of Logistics and an ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Specific responsibilities include delivering medical equipment to Sterile services, medical records, pharmacy, pathology samples and general distribution of goods and paperwork to agreed locations within the Trust in a timely and efficient manner. You will need to be flexible and capable of working effectively within the busy environment of the Trust's Transport and Logistics Teams. The JD & PS are currently under AfC review and are subject to change.
