Logistics Customer Service Advisor

Bilston

8:30am-5:00pm (1 hour lunch break)

£28,000 per annum

We are currently seeking an organized, confident Customer Service individual to join our client, a well-established business within the Bilston area. As a Logistics Customer Service Advisor, you will be faced with a range of activities to support the European Operations team.

Responsibilities
  • Process and issue customer invoices promptly and accurately.
  • Ensure correct charges are applied to each job file.
  • Liaise with accounts team for any invoice queries or corrections.
  • Request Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation from partners and carriers.
  • Upload PODs to customer portals and internal systems in a timely manner.
  • Handle road freight bookings for Ireland and European destinations.
  • Book directly with our European groupage partners.
  • Coordinate collections and deliveries, ensuring efficient and timely transport.
  • Obtain rates for smaller shipments from carriers and agents.
  • Provide customers with competitive and accurate quotations.
  • Maintain up-to-date rate sheets and negotiate when necessary.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding shipment status, issues, or queries.
  • Provide regular updates via email and phone.
  • Always ensure a professional and customer-friendly approach.
  • Assist the European Operations Manager with day-to-day admin tasks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all bookings and communications.
  • Support internal systems and reporting processes as needed.
