Logistics Coordinator (Days)

Location: Redditch (office-based)

Hours: 44 hours per week | 4 on / 4 off | 07:00 - 19:00 (includes weekends)

Contract: Permanent

We are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator (Days) to join a fast-paced transport and freight operation in Redditch. This is a fully office-based role combining customer service, quoting and transport coordination, ideal for someone with experience in logistics or freight forwarding who enjoys problem-solving and working under pressure.

The role

You will manage customer shipments from enquiry through to completion, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and clear communication throughout.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing customer enquiries and orders by phone and email
  • Loading jobs onto the system and tracking shipments end-to‑to‑end
  • Quoting UK and EU transport and offering alternative solutions where required
  • Booking transport and liaising with suppliers and carriers
  • Handling time‑critical movements, including line stoppages and urgent requests
  • Keeping customers informed and resolving issues proactively
  • Closing out job files, obtaining PODs and ensuring documentation is complete
  • Ensuring jobs are accurate and complete prior to invoicing
  • Reviewing routes and suppliers to ensure cost‑effective planning and profitability
  • Communicating clearly with warehouse teams on inbound and outbound activity
  • Maintaining accurate system data, paperwork and KPIs
  • Liaising with Operations, Accounts and Warehouse teams and escalating issues when required
What we're looking for
  • Experience in a logistics, transport or freight forwarding role
  • European planning experience (essential)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Confident using transport systems and MS Office
  • Highly organised with the ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Calm under pressure with a solutions‑focused mindset
  • A proactive, can‑do attitude with good attention to detail
  • CPC or second language skills are advantageous but not essential
Working hours & benefits
  • 44 hours per week
  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern, Monday to Sunday (days)
  • Working hours: 07:00 - 19:00
  • 10% shift allowance
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Option to purchase up to 5 additional days' holiday
