About The Role

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are seeking an experienced Logistics Contract Manager for a company based in Stoke:on:Trent, to take ownership of a key customer contract, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and customer satisfaction. This is a senior role with full budgetary responsibility, requiring strong commercial acumen, leadership skills, and the ability to deliver sustainable change across logistics operations.

You will act as the main point of contact for the client, managing service delivery in line with SLAs, driving cost:saving initiatives, and overseeing transport and distribution functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full budgetary and commercial responsibility for the assigned contract.
  • Manage open:book commercial models, weekly cost reporting, and invoicing accuracy.
  • Lead contract development and implement strategic change initiatives.
  • Oversee transport functions, subcontractor relationships, and fleet compliance.
  • Chair client review meetings, produce KPI reports, and ensure SLA delivery.
  • Drive cost control, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, legislation, and company standards.
  • Recruit and manage colleagues in line with agreed budgets.
  • Lead daily team meetings, 1:2:1 reviews, and manage escalated operational issues.
Candidate Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport Management (desirable).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a logistics, 3PL, warehousing, or supply chain contract management role.
  • Proven track record managing commercial contracts and customer accounts.
  • Experience with HGV fleet operations, subcontractor networks, and large:scale distribution contracts.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including P and L management, pricing models, and tendering.
  • Knowledge of UK/EU logistics and transport regulations.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH certification (desirable).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with TMS, ERP platforms, and advanced Excel/data analysis.
