As the Logistics Administrator you will provide Admin support to the Operations team based at our site in Deeside. This role is a temporary, 6 month fixed term contract with the the view to a permanent opportunity in the future.

Qualifications
  • Two years of shipping, receiving, or transportation support experience.
  • Providing shipping, receiving, and transportation support;
  • Utilizing specialized or complex software relating to area of assignment;
  • Organizing and prioritizing requests;
  • Working with other functions and departments;
  • Ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures;
  • Developing and reviewing operational shipping and receiving reports;
  • Investigating and resolving shipping and receiving problems;
  • Applying applicable DOT, hazardous material, and related operational guidelines;
  • Communicating with co-workers to provide and receive direction.

Responsibilities
  • All employees are legally responsible for their own health and safety as well as those who may be affected by their acts or omissions. They are also legally required to co-operate in health and safety matters as directed by their employer.
  • Coordinates activities with distribution related companies and customer, which includes scheduling pick-ups and deliveries, confirming shipping, and calculating and verifying charges; transportation is typically within the domestic and international areas.
  • Reviews, verifies, and enters incoming and outgoing orders, materials, and transportation with the correct documentation, ensures paperwork is completed appropriately, and information is accurate.
  • Ensures compliance with DOT (TREM), hazardous materials, EHS, and other regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • May prepare and distribute orders and paperwork to be pulled and prepared for shipment.
  • Assists with reviewing and coordinating general warehouse, inventory, or production operations, and performs a variety of functions relating to plant schedules and inventory management, by reviewing reports and shipments and other information as required.
  • Reviews and/or completes a variety of documents, forms, and materials to initiate or complete the shipping, receiving, or transportation process.
  • Responds to daily questions and concerns from warehousing, inventory, production, customer service, or other functions, investigates problems, and assists with identifying a solution.
  • May prepare labels, descriptions, and other documents for shipments, materials, and products.
  • Perform various clerical duties, such as entering data, sorting, copying and filing documents, and related clerical functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
