A healthcare organization is seeking a Locum Specialty Doctor in Adult Psychiatry in Downpatrick for an initial 3-month contract. Notes: This locum Specialty Doctor post is available immediately for a period of 3 months in the first instance. The post holder will work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team known as the Mental Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) which provides a first point of contact for people referred for assessment of mental health problems. The role involves assessment, diagnosis and initial treatment of mental illness when required as well as providing medical support and advice to the team. Depending on the agreed Job plan there may also be an opportunity to work with the co‑located sector home treatment team. This is a part time post (8PA), however applications from practitioners who wish to contract for a reduced number of planned activities, or on a job share basis are welcome.
