A healthcare organization in Chipping Barnet is looking for a dedicated Social Worker to make a difference in the lives of young people with eating disorders. The role requires strong risk management skills and experience working within mental health teams. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, discharge planning, and liaising with community services. Applicants must hold a Social Work Degree and be HCPC registered. The position offers £30 per hour on a locum basis for a duration of 6 months.

As a Social Worker you are required to work effectively within the MDT to support our young people, their families and carers. As a critical member of the team, it is essential you hold strong risk management and safeguarding knowledge/skills.
Excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983/2007 as well as other statutory legislation such as Children’s Act 1989, Care Act 2014, child protection, protection of vulnerable adults and multi‑agency public protection arrangements is required.
Ideally you will have experience of working with children and young adults within a mental health or CAMHS service.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
