Qualifications

• Registered medical professional with MBBS or equivalent qualifications.
• Demonstrated extensive experience in paediatric and neonatal surgical contexts.
• Capability in teaching clinical skills effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist paediatric surgical care including prevention, diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Manage neonatal and paediatric surgical admissions and support other specialised services.
• Supervise, teach and mentor junior surgical staff.

Skills

Substantial clinical experience in paediatric & neonatal surgery

Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

Experience in managing common paediatric and neonatal surgical emergencies

Skills in minimal access surgery

Good written and spoken communication skills in English

Education

MBBS or equivalent

FRCS paediatric surgery or equivalent

Full GMC registration with license to practice
