Information Governance Officer – Full Time – Up to £35 per hour umbrella – Hybrid/Remote Working – Initial 3 months

Venn Group’s specialist Legal team are currently recruiting for an Information Governance Officer to join a Local Authority on an initial 3-month assignment. The role offers flexible hybrid or remote working arrangements and is an excellent opportunity for an experienced information governance professional to support a busy team.

Details

Position: Information Governance Officer

Duration: Initial 3 months with the possibility for extension

Rate: Up to £35 per hour umbrella

Responsibilities
  • Handling information requests under the GDPR and FOI Act, alongside all other relevant legislation
  • Maintaining accurate records of all work undertaken to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Supporting with Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and assisting in drafting policies and data-sharing agreements
  • Liaising with and providing information to regulatory bodies such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) when required
  • Providing advice and guidance to internal departments and stakeholders on data protection and information governance matters
