A leading NHS organization in London is seeking a dedicated Consultant Radiologist with a focus on Cardiothoracic Imaging. An exciting locum consultant radiologist post (12 months fixed term) to join Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic consultant to join our well established, dedicated and supportive radiology team serving a population of 750,000. The post will cover general radiology and Cardiothoracic Imaging and is primarily located at Queen's/King George Hospital, Romford, with potential work at Barking Community Diagnostic Centre and St. George's CDC in Hornchurch.

We are introducing an electronic patient record next year to improve accessibility of patient records across our seven hospitals and Barts Health.
Clinical / operational responsibilities
To adhere to clinical and quality standards, liaise effectively and promptly with colleagues, general practitioners, community services and all healthcare agencies; maintain and promote team and multi‑disciplinary working. Maintain confidentiality in line with information governance guidelines.
To participate in development and implementation of policy and/or management of radiology services. To attend and participate in departmental governance meetings including investigations of incidents and audits where necessary. To attend operational and clinical meetings essential to running the department and/or service. To maintain evidence‑based practice within the area of special interest. To comply with Trust and departmental policies regarding job planning, appraisal and leave. To deputize for an absent consultant or associate specialist when required to complete core services in a timely manner. To ensure prompt attendance at direct clinical care programmed activities. To ensure mandatory training is up to date per Trust policy.
