A healthcare provider is looking for a Locum Consultant Geriatrician to join their team in Yeovil, England. This role involves providing specialist inpatient and outpatient care for older patients and contributing to various acute services, alongside mentoring junior doctors. We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Locum Consultant Geriatrician to join our innovative and expanding Care of Older People (COOP) team at Yeovil District Hospital. This is a fixed time post within a dynamic, forward-thinking department that values individuality and supports professional growth. You will provide specialist inpatient and outpatient care for older patients, contribute to acute and frailty services including Front Door Frailty, and help shape services such as Ortho-Geriatrics, Osteoporosis, Parkinson's and Movement Disorders, Dementia and Delirium. We actively encourage you to develop your sub-specialty interests and offer job-sharing and flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle. Alongside clinical work, you will engage in clinical governance, audit, quality improvement and teaching, and play a key role in mentoring and supervising junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams, with additional SPA time for educational supervision. Participate in job planning, appraisal, mandatory training, and service development.
