A regional ambulance service in the United Kingdom is looking for a Clinical Development Lead to provide oversight for operational quality and safety. This role requires extensive experience in clinical practice and managing local issues related to healthcare delivery. The successful candidate will foster development in the team and ensure statutory compliance in a politically sensitive environment. Advocating for compassionate, patient-centered care and continuous professional development is essential to this role.
This post will provide specialist oversight for clinical development, quality and safety across a locality. The role will form a constituent part of the tripartite between the Operational, Clinical and Education Leadership Teams.
The post holder will be responsible for leading and managing all first line locality issues related to the quality and effectiveness of clinical practice within the operational environment at East of England Ambulance Service (EEAST).
The post holder will be the key source of local expertise and knowledge relating to clinical practice.
Furthermore, ensuring capability and capacity of local clinical supervision. Supporting assurance of delivery of statutory / mandatory compliance, local (clinical) return to work processes and transition to practice.
The post demands innovative leadership qualities to develop and nurture the next generation of clinicians within a challenging climate and foster a culture of Continuous Professional Development within the current generations, plus the responsibility for ensuring alignment to the Trust vision and values through fostering a culture of compassion, learning, engagement, and tailored clinical support and expertise.
