Avantor is looking for a Local Regulatory Affairs Specialist to join our team and ensure compliance with local and EU regulations across our operations. This role is key in interpreting legislation, liaising with authorities, and supporting both local and central teams in regulatory matters.

What you'll do
  • Monitor and interpret local and EU regulatory requirements, ensuring timely communication across the organization.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and implement compliance actions.
  • Maintain contact with local authorities: inspections, declarations, reporting, and license requests.
  • Ensure timely acquisition, renewal, and maintenance of local licenses to operate.
  • Support customer and supplier regulatory needs, including license checks and guidance.
  • Act as a local point of contact for central regulatory projects and initiatives.
  • Train employees on regulatory topics and ensure local compliance.
  • Proactively identify and escalate regulatory risks to the central RA team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences (e.g., Industrial Chemistry, Biomedical Science, Biochemistry, Biotechnology).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs within the EU.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in Lab Supply, Pharma, or Chemicals is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (ERP).
  • Fluent in English and the local language (written and spoken).
