A major NHS Trust in the UK is seeking a Local Counter Fraud Specialist (LCFS) to conduct counter fraud investigations and develop proactive strategies to mitigate fraud risks. The role requires close collaboration with a Band 7 LCFS and aims to educate staff on fraud identification. The specialist will ensure compliance with NHS Counter Fraud Authority standards and contribute to building an anti-fraud culture within the organization. Ideal candidates will possess relevant qualifications and experience in fraud risk assessment and investigations.
As part of the NHS Contract organisations are required to have counter fraud arrangements in place to provide added value through the use of counter fraud specialists, the purpose of this role is primarily to deliver counter fraud investigations and value-added proactive work to a specified organisation.
Band 6 LCFS report to and are supervised by a specified Band 7 LCFS.
Expectations of the post holder fall into three distinct categories.
