Service Care Solutions is delighted to be partnering with a well-regarded Local Authority, based in the Oxfordshire area, who are looking to appoint an experienced Litigation and Regulatory Solicitor to their dynamic in‑house legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated legal professional who thrives in a varied public‑sector role and is seeking meaningful work within a supportive environment.

Role : Litigation and Regulatory Solicitor

Location : Oxfordshire – hybrid

Umbrella Rate : £55 to £60ph

PAYE Inc Rate : £48.44ph to £52.79ph

Contract Length : 3 months ongoing

Key Responsibilities

• Take on an extensive legal caseload of complex contentious related work and provide high level legal advice to services across the organisation, to elected members and to senior managers.
• Appear on behalf of Council in the Magistrates Court, County Court, Tribunals, Inquiries, Panels and other venues as required and to instruct Counsel in Higher Court Matters where required.
• On occasions, you will also be required to deputise for the Litigation and Regulatory Team Leader.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor with a valid Practising Certificate and strong experience in handling complex Litigation work.
• Be able to give concise, accurate and considered advice to senior officers and elected members.
• Public sector experience is desirable but not essential.
