We are searching for the best talent for a Line Facilitator (Product Manufacturing) to be in Leeds, United Kingdom!

Purpose: At J&J we want to encourage skill advancement and career growth. As we gear up for new production initiatives, we’re looking for a skilled individual to join our production team. This role encompasses hands‑on manufacturing and attainment reporting, expediting and improvement efforts across the process. You will lead production activities while contributing to continuous improvement and scalability efforts. Your responsibilities will include driving production planning, achieving daily targets, and coordinating work‑order flow.

As a Line Facilitator you will:

  • Perform fabrication and machining activities (80%) including machine set‑up, operation, finishing inspection and handling of metal/plastic components to meet production targets.
  • Support indirect duties (20%) such as production reporting, expediting continuous improvement projects and audit documentation.
  • Monitor machine cycle times and part quality; raise deviations and lead corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety laws, SOPs, and cGMP/GMP standards; maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Apply knowledge of tooling diagnostics and quality control to support new projects and improve capacity.
  • Provide training and assess team proficiency in operating specialized fabrication machinery.
  • Perform operator asset care and first‑line maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Lead improvement and 6S activities to enhance yield efficiency and safety.

Requirements & Skills

  • Minimum NVQ 5 in manufacturing‑related qualifications or equivalent through hands‑on experience in fabrication, machining or CNC tool operation.
  • Ability to program, set and operate CNC machinery; experience with Citizen Mazak DMG controls is a plus.
  • Knowledge of GD&T and familiarity with UG/CAD/CAM/CMM (Uni Graphics/NX) and shopfloor systems.
  • Experience in supervised manufacturing (medical device preferred) with GMP practices and validation.
  • Basic understanding of lean principles 6S and Operator Asset Care; ERP system experience.
  • Strong mechanical proficiency, problem‑solving skills and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Safety‑focused, effective communicator and capable of mentoring across functions.
