Job Title: Lifecycle Manager / Assistant Lifecycle Manager

Location: Paisley (Hybrid working available)

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:15

Salary Range:

  • Lifecycle Manager: £50,000 - £53,000
  • Assistant Lifecycle Manager: £35,000 - £40,000

Benefits: Company car (with personal use) or car allowance (subject to eligibility)

A good Asset Surveyor with Managerial experience would be a great fit for this role.

Role Overview- Lifecycle Manager

The Lifecycle Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational delivery of lifecycle works across a portfolio of public estate contracts in Scotland.

This includes developing and maintaining lifecycle models, managing asset condition surveys, creating forward-looking lifecycle management plans, and ensuring projects are delivered effectively and efficiently in collaboration with internal project management teams.

The role offers a hybrid working model and the opportunity to influence both the success of the contracts and the experience of end users within the school estate.

Key Responsibilities- Lifecycle Manager
  • Develop a detailed understanding of existing lifecycle models for all allocated contracts.
  • Undertake condition and validation surveys across sites, covering both building fabric and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems.
  • Prepare annual and five-year lifecycle plans for each contract, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of lifecycle strategies for each contract, ensuring effective budget management and providing support for reactive maintenance interventions.
  • Develop project scopes and technical solutions to ensure compliance with specifications, client, and end-user requirements.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of annual lifecycle plans through direct management of the supply chain and collaboration with the project team.
  • Ensure robust reporting, planning, and forecasting in alignment with the lifecycle model and contract KPIs.

Support and advise operational teams on lifecycle planning, asset management, and related technical issues.

Person Specification- Lifecycle Manager

Essential:

  • Knowledge and understanding of construction, engineering, or surveying disciplines.
  • Strong understanding of building structures, fabric, and M&E services.
  • Experience conducting or supporting building condition surveys.
  • Commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Full UK driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Construction, Engineering, or Surveying.
  • Previous experience in lifecycle management or facilities management.
  • Knowledge of lifecycle planning, forecasting, and modelling tools.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary works programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior managers and stakeholders.
Additional Information- Lifecycle Manager
  • This role involves working on contracts that support public sector estates, including schools; therefore, the successful candidate must pass an enhanced PVG check prior to employment.
