Overview

WE’RE HIRING! We are looking for a Level 2 or Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team!

Responsibilities

• To assist with the planning of the curriculum.
• To help set up the nursery room for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session.
• To act as a key person to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met.
• To advise the manager/supervisor of any concerns e.g. over children, parents or the safety of the equipment, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
• To teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation.
• To attend staff meetings.
• To attend in-service training courses and meetings as required.
• To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is required as part of the job.
• But most importantly: Must possess the superpower of rapid head counting to keep up with lightening-fast, wiggly children!
• Ability to read upside down is a must, with at least 5 interruptions per page. Bonus points if you can decode scribbles and doodles as well!
• Singing skills are not necessary, but the ability to belt out off-key tunes in front of tiny humans is absolutely essential.
