Qualifications

Job Description

Our client is a nationally water treatment company who offer the complete range of water treatment/water hygiene and legionella services to long-standing clients. Due to the recent contract wins they are now looking to recruit an experienced and dedicated Legionella Risk Assessor based in or around the Portsmouth area. The successful candidate will ideally hold experience under-taking legionella risk assessments on commercial, industrial and process water sites. Experience and knowledge cooling tower risk assessments would be advantageous. Applications will be considered from Fareham, Waterlooville, Chichester, Gosport and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Must have attended an approved Risk Assessment course, ideally City & Guilds, or have had internal training courses.
  • Experience working as a legionella risk assessor within the water treatment/water hygiene arena.
  • Will ideally hold experience on under-taking risk assessments on commercial, industrial and process water sites.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office package.
  • Extensive experience of carrying out risk assessments on cooling towers.
Role
  • Carrying out Legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP L8 risk assessments.
  • Producing schematic drawings and final documents for clients.
  • Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measures through to quotations, and carrying out such works based on the risk assessment.
  • Undertaking monthly temperature testing and water sampling.
  • Surveys of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.
  • Writing up reports and attending meetings with clients to discuss findings of reports if required.
