Location: Walton Street, Buckinghamshire

Working hours: Monday - Thursday: 9:00am - 5:30pm Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm

What does the job entail?

We are seeking an organised and IT-literate Legal Support Officer to join Buckinghamshire Council's Legal Services team. This is a varied, office-based administrative role providing essential support to lawyers across childcare, litigation and wider legal teams.

Working as part of the Legal Support Team, you will deliver high-quality, confidential administrative support in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities. This role would suit an experienced administrator or a graduate looking to gain valuable experience within a legal or public sector setting.

  • Providing day-to-day administrative support to legal professionals
  • Printing, scanning, photocopying and collating legal documents
  • Preparing and producing court bundles for childcare and litigation teams
  • Opening and closing legal files accurately and in line with procedures
  • Sealing and signing legal documents (hard copy and electronic)
  • Submitting Land Registry requests and managing legal correspondence
  • Acting as a first point of contact via telephone and email
  • Maintaining accurate records and handling information confidentially
  • Supporting the team with general office duties as required
