As our Legal Secretary, you will play an essential part in supporting our solicitors and ensuring the smooth running of the department.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support
  • Audio and copy typing of letters, documents, correspondence and court forms
  • Producing accurate legal documents and file notes
  • Preparing court bundles
  • Managing telephone calls in a polite, friendly and efficient manner
  • Scheduling appointments and dealing directly with clients
  • General administration: filing, photocopying, archiving, and maintaining up-to-date case files
  • Accessing and updating our case management system
  • Assisting with money‑laundering checks, cash entries and preparation of fee notes
  • Handling all confidential information discreetly and professionally
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a legal secretary within a family law department
  • Excellent communication skills, with a confident, friendly and outgoing manner both in person and over the phone
  • Strong technical ability, including fast and accurate typing
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently, manage a busy workload and meet tight deadlines
  • A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Word
  • A dependable, proactive attitude
