A leading NHS Trust in the UK is looking for a full-time Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive support to the Legal Services Department. The role involves managing legal documents, handling inquiries professionally, and organizing meetings. Ideal candidates will have relevant legal qualifications and experience in a similar role, with a focus on GDPR compliance. To assist in all aspects of the Legal Services Department's work.
The post holder is responsible for providing full legal secretarial and administrative support to the Legal Services Department. The role requires setting up new cases, managing post and all other documents associated with claims in accordance with the Legal Department procedures, and managing databases, spreadsheets and online platforms (e.g., OneDrive). It involves strict adherence to the General Data Protection Requirements Act (GDPR) and the Trust's information governance policies, and the ability to extract key information from databases as needed. The role also requires the ability to meet strict deadlines and work on own initiative.
