About The Team

This role forms part of the Product Litigationteam, within the Global Litigation function of Dyson Legal.

Reporting to the Head of Product Litigationwithin the Product Litigationteam; you will have responsibility for the following areas of Intellectual Property & Product Strategyactivity:

Global IP Enforcement and Litigation

Global Brand Protection and Anti-Counterfeiting

About The Role

Operational

  • Lead and manage global IP disputes, with a particular focus on patent litigation—owning the direct conduct of cases as well as coordinating and overseeing strategy with external counsel on major, high-profile matters.
  • Play an active role in Dyson’s Centre of Excellence for Product Litigation, sharing insights and developing best practices for IP enforcement in a world-leading technology environment.
  • Analyse competitor products for potential IP infringement, partnering with technical experts to assess complex issues at the forefront of engineering and design.
  • Collaborate with international partners to enforce Dyson's IP online and offline, strengthening brand protection and ensuring only genuine Dyson products reach customers worldwide.
  • Drive anti-counterfeiting investigations and enforcement, tackling the manufacture, distribution and sale of counterfeit products and forging proactive relationships with law enforcement agencies, customs, online marketplace operators and logistics companies.
  • Act as a trusted IP advisor—providing clear, practical guidance across the business, supporting stakeholders to understand risks and shape robust strategies.
  • Contribute to IP licensing activities, advising on and drafting IP agreements, and supporting commercial negotiations with insight into IP aspects.
  • Deliver Regular, impactful reports, presenting clear updates on disputes, brand protection efforts and anti-counterfeiting initiatives.
  • Report operational progress directly to the Head of Product Litigation, ensuring key issues, achievements and priorities are communicated with transparency.

About You

You will be a qualified solicitor or patent attorney with at least 3 years’ post-qualification experience in intellectual property, comfortable working across both contentious and non-contentious matters. You will have a solid grounding in IP litigation, ideally involving patents, and enjoy managing multi-jurisdictional disputes often in collaboration with external counsel.
