Job description

I am delighted to be partnering with an exceptional global law firm to recruit a Legal Cashier located in their London office.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop a career in legal cashiering within a prestigious legal environment.

What You'll be Assisting With:
  • Managing trust account receipts and payments in compliance with local regulations.
  • Processing, reconciling and settling professional disbursements in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Allocating all incoming office receipts across multiple currencies, including reconciliation of exchange differences and write-off of small balances.
  • Monitoring, processing and reviewing transfers to and from appropriate suspense accounts.
  • Investigating and resolving residual balances in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Undertaking project work as directed by the Manager, including negative costs, out-of-date cheques and SRA- and audit-related activities.
What I'm looking for:
  • Extensive, up-to-date knowledge of the Solicitors' Accounts Rules.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office products is required.
  • Preferred solid understanding of Elite 3E and automated cost systems (e.g., Chrome River and Emburse Expense).
  • A legal cashiering qualification (either already obtained or with the intention to obtain one) would be beneficial. An accounting qualification to AAT level or equivalent is advantageous, but not essential.
