  • Reviewing and advising on land agreements and property rights for the current pipeline of development projects and new prospect sites (such as heads of terms, exclusivity agreements, option agreements, leases, agreements for sale, easements, servitudes, wayleaves, licences for use/works, title documents and land plans).
  • Assisting the project management, origination, engineering, construction, procurement, asset management and other business unit teams with EDPR’s UK based portfolio of projects in all aspects of their development and delivery.
  • Assisting with project due diligence, asset and share acquisition and sale, and provision of legal advice relating to construction, project operation, route to market, regulatory, financing, corporate and commercial matters.
  • Identifying the need for legal input and support across the UK business unit and allocating resource accordingly.
  • Procuring and managing external legal counsel in specialist areas and for major transactions/projects.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts (such as technical and professional service agreements, development framework agreements, materials and equipment supply contracts etc)
  • Providing general ad hoc legal and commercial advice and legal governance support typical of an in-house position.
  • Representing the company professionally and establishing and maintaining good relationships with our external advisors, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
