An exciting opportunity has arisen for a legal assistant to join our Commercial Contracts, Governance and Information Law team at Hampshire County Council.

Supporting the Commercial Contracts, Governance and Information Law team, our close-knit group of nine enjoy working with the whole of Hampshire County Council to ensure the Council is protected in relation to the contracts which are entered into. Join our team with this unique opportunity.
In your role, you'll be allocated work by the lawyers to include the drafting of documentation (to include service contracts, variations, Deeds of Novation, confidentiality agreements etc), review of contracts (to include supplier’s terms and conditions, framework agreements and call-off contracts etc) and research relating to contract and procurement matters.

Ideally educated to degree level, preferably in Law, (or with equivalent qualifications) and preferably with recent experience in local government and/or contract and procurement law matters, your communication and presentation skills will be excellent.
Your ability to work as part of a team, meet strict deadlines and work successfully under pressure will be key.
