Are you a commercially minded Legal Counsel passionate about accelerating the transition to clean energy? We’re looking for an experienced legal professional to join our growing team in Southern England and play a key role in shaping the future of our renewable energy projects.
We are a fast-growing renewable energy developer and operator, committed to delivering innovative, sustainable solutions across the South of England. As we scale our portfolio, we’re strengthening our in-house legal capabilities to support our mission of delivering clean, reliable energy to communities and businesses.
As our Legal Counsel, you will provide pragmatic, business-focused legal support across the company. You’ll work closely with our development, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring projects progress smoothly while helping us manage legal, regulatory, and compliance obligations.
This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in our Southern England office (remaining time can be worked from home). The position is ideally suited to someone seeking part-time or flexible hours.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts (including land agreements, EPC/O&M contracts, NDAs, supply agreements, and project development documents)
Provide legal advice on planning, environmental, and regulatory matters relating to renewable energy projects
Support corporate governance, company secretarial duties, and external counsel management
Lead and enhance our risk and compliance frameworks, including policies, training, and monitoring
Advise on data protection, health & safety compliance, and ESG-related obligations
Act as a trusted partner to the senior leadership team, identifying legal risks and enabling informed decision-making
UK-qualified solicitor with experience in commercial, energy, infrastructure, or real estate law
Strong understanding of contractual risk, regulatory frameworks, and compliance best practice
Comfortable working autonomously and balancing a varied workload
Collaborative, solutions-driven, and able to communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders
Passion for sustainability and the renewable energy sector
